Z's Restaurant and Bar is located in the historic Cigar Factory. Built in 1892 by the American Tobacco Company, the original seven story warehouse once held the distinct title of the largest wooden building in the world. In 1956, the top five stories were removed from the building and in 1982, a massive remodel transformed the structure into an upscale shopping mall while still preserving its character.
In March of 2003, Pat Yager and Mike Butler joined forces as YB, Inc. and opened Z's Restaurant and Bar. Z's went through a remodeling and restoration process bringing an upscale touch of class to Owensboro's small list of fine dining establishments.
